  1. Add the onion, garlic, rosemary, red wine, beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce to a slow cooker.

  2. Pat the Chuck Roast dry with a paper towel, season it with salt, and brown it on all sides in a pan on medium heat.

  3. Add the browned Chuck Roast to the slow cooker and season it generously on both sides with beef bouillon powder, salt, pepper, and granulated garlic.

  4. Cook on low for 8 hours.

  5. Make caramelized onions by adding butter to a pan on medium-low heat with the sliced onions. Cook for about 1 hour, stirring frequently, and season with salt and pepper.

  6. Once the beef is done, separate it from the liquid and shred it in a bowl. Stir in the caramelized onions.

  7. Strain the liquid from the slow cooker and set it aside (this is the Au Jus).

  8. Make a spread by combining mayo, cream style horseradish, salt, and pepper.

  9. Cut the French Baguette down the middle and add the spread, then the shredded beef, and top with Swiss cheese.

  10. Bake the sandwich in the oven at 325 degrees for 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts.

  11. Cut the sandwich into small pieces and serve with the Au Jus on the side.
