Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until thick, smooth and paste-like.
Add Eggs and Vanilla: Stir in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, until fully combined.
Combine Dry Ingredients: Gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined. Stop mixing as soon as you see small streaks of flour.
Add Mix-Ins: Fold in the chopped dark chocolate, M&Ms, and sprinkles, reserving a small handful of M&Ms and sprinkles for topping, if desired.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Add the reserved M&Ms and sprinkles on top. Bake for 35-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment paper overhang. Slice into squares and serve.
