Cat Food Base Recipe 20 lbs
  1. Boil chicken legs at least until meat falls off the bone. Ideally cook until bones are soft enough to blend into mixture.

  2. Add greens and cook until reduced.

  3. Turn off heat.

  4. Immediately add organ meat and eggs so they are cooked, but not overcooked.

  5. With immersion blender, thoroughly blend ingredients.

  6. Add optional rice and mix thoroughly.

  7. Pour into serving sized molds and freeze OR can. If canning be sure to follow protocol for canning meats.

My notes: I'll be using lower oxolate greens like arugula, cabbage, watercress, Bok choy (1 mg per cup), Kale (2 mg per cup), Butter lettuce (5 mg per cup), Mustard, turnip, and collard greens (4–10 mg per cup). Cats prefer smelly foods: may add dill, basil, parsley, rosemary, thyme, sage. TOXIC are oregano, onion, garlic, chive. When new to eating this it is easier to get cats who are used to canned food to eat this if the rice is added.
