French Apple Beignets
  1. Core and slice the apples into ~¼-inch thick rounds.

  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the self-rising flour, egg, and milk to form a smooth batter.

  3. Gently fold the apple slices into the batter, making sure each piece is well coated.

  4. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Cook the coated apple slices for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

  5. Remove from the skillet and toss the warm apple beignets in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve immediately and enjoy!
