After roasting your chicken, pour a splash of boiling hot water into your pan
Scrape up all the brown bits from the pan
Don't add too much water — keep the liquid deep and concentrated
Pour the liquid into ice cube trays
Freeze solid
Pop the frozen cubes into a bag or container for storage
To make gravy: add homemade chicken stock to a pot
Toss in 2-3 frozen cubes for rich, deep flavor
Warm until the cubes are melted
Make a cornstarch slurry
Pour the slurry in and watch the gravy thicken
