Heat coconut oil in a pan
Add cumin seeds and let them crackle
Add chopped onion and sauté until golden
Add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute
Add red chillies, coriander powder, cumin powder, and turmeric
Stir in grated coconut and mix well
Add kokum (or tamarind paste/lemon juice) for tanginess
Place fish fillets in the curry
Cook until fish is done, approximately 8-10 minutes
Season with salt to taste
Serve hot
