Cottage Cheese Kolaches (Rapid Rise)- Nana’s Recipe
  1. Mix together: 2 eggs (beaten), 3 tablespoons dry tapioca pudding, ¾ cup sugar, ½ teaspoon vanilla.

  2. Add to 36 oz of cottage cheese. Let sit at room temperature for when filled.

  3. Mix together in large bowl: 6.5 cups of all purpose flour, ⅔ cups of sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 2 packages of rapid rise/quick rise yeast.

  4. Heat and mix together: 2 cups of milk, 1 cup butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla.

  5. Stir warm liquids into dry mixture.

  6. Mix in 2 egg yolks; add more flour until desired consistency.

  7. Knead dough. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.

  8. Shape and fill kolaches. Cover again and let rise for 45-60 minutes until doubled in size.

  9. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
