Do not turn on heat: In a pot, add 3 TBSP oil, 2 TBSP korean chili flakes, and 5 cloves of minced garlic. NOW turn on your heat and toast this for 1-2 minutes.
After toasting your spices, add 1 TBSP soy sauce, 1 TBSP fish sauce and 1 TBSP sugar. Combine this well and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
After a total of 2-4 minutes, add 1.5 - 2 cups of water. Bring this to a boil and then add 26 oz of silken tofu (scoop in 1 large spoonful at a time).
Then add your preferred toppings. I used zucchini, mushroom, jalapeño, and beef slices.
Once all of your ingredients are in, bring this to a boil, reduce your heat to simmer, cover and cook for 3 mins.
After 3 mins, crank your heat to high. Bring it back to a boil, crack in an egg, turn off heat, drizzle some sesame oil over and garnish with scallion.
