Lemon Cream Cheese Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a standard 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Add the egg, lemon juice, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just incorporated.

  5. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese with a tablespoon of sugar (optional) and stir until smooth.

  6. Spread half the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Dollop half of the cream cheese mixture on top and swirl with a knife. Repeat with remaining batter and cream cheese.

  7. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

  8. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
