Blender Chocolate Cake
  1. Add the following ingredients to a blender in this EXACT order: Milk, Melted butter, 1 egg, Sugar, Cocoa powder, All purpose flour, Baking soda, Lemon juice (add this on top of the baking soda), Pinch of salt.

  2. Blend the batter on medium/high for ONLY 10 - 15 seconds. We just want the batter to combine. Unplug your blender, then scrape the sides and bottom of the blender jug. Plug the blender back in and blend again for another 5 - 10 seconds. DO NOT OVER BLEND.

  3. Give the batter one last scrape with your spatula and transfer the batter in an 8 inch (20 cm) cake pan, greased and lined with parchment paper.

  4. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 170 °C or 340 °F for about 20 minutes. As usual do the toothpick test to make sure it's done. Do not over bake!

  5. Allow the cake to cool for 15 minutes and then cover in glaze. This cake is delicious both warm or room temp.

  6. For the chocolate glaze, combine cocoa, powdered sugar, milk and a pinch of salt.
