French Onion Scones easy baking must
  1. Preheat oven to 240C/220C fan forced. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

  2. Place dip and flour in a large bowl. Using a flat-bladed knife to gently stir until dough just comes together.

  3. Turn dough out onto a well-floured surface. Knead gently for 30 seconds or until just smooth. Press dough into a 2.5cm-thick round. Dip a 5.5cm round cutter into flour and use to cut out scones. Gently press leftover dough pieces together and repeat to make 6 scones in total.

  4. Place scones side-by-side on the lined tray. Sprinkle with the grated cheddar. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until well browned and cooked through. Serve with cheddar slices and pickles.
