Zuppa Toscana Recipe
  1. In a large pot sauté sausage 5–6 minutes until browned. Use a slotted spoon to transfer sausage to a plate.

  2. Add butter and sauté onions over medium heat until translucent. Add garlic and cook 1 minute.

  3. Add chicken broth, water, potatoes, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are tender.

  4. Stir in chopped kale and heavy cream. Return sausage to the pot.

  5. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot with bacon and parmesan if desired.
