Green Bean Casserole
  1. Wash produce - green beans, mushrooms

  2. Trim and cut green beans into bite sized pieces

  3. Medium dice mushrooms (not slice!)

  4. Medium dice onions

  5. Shred cheddar cheese, crush crackers

  6. Blanch green beans or microwave for 4 minutes in the bag

  7. Boil in salted water for 5 minutes until cooked but still crisp and dunk in ice water then dry

  8. Prepare onion/mushroom/sour cream base: Melt 3 tblspoons butter - add onions for 3 minutes - then add mushrooms for additional 4-5 minutes. Add 2 tbsp? of flour to thicken. Add 1 cup sour cream, 1tsp white sugar, 1 tsp salt. Add green beans and stir until combined.

  9. Prepare cracker/butter/cheese topping
