German Bauerneintopf
  1. Heat a little oil in a large pot over medium heat.

  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.

  3. Stir in the chopped onion and cook for another 2–3 minutes.

  4. Add the tomato paste and cook briefly to develop flavor.

  5. Add potatoes, carrots and bell pepper.

  6. Pour in the diced tomatoes and broth.

  7. Season with paprika, a pinch of sugar, salt and pepper.

  8. Let everything simmer for 20–25 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.

  9. Stir in the fresh parsley.

  10. Serve hot with a spoonful of sour cream on top.
