Apple tart

🍏🌰 Flourless Apple and Almond Tart – Rustic, Healthy, and Gluten-Free

Ingredients:

2 cups ground almonds (almond flour)

2 tablespoons honey or natural sweetener

1 egg

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Sliced almonds for decoration

A pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the base

In a bowl, mix the ground almonds, honey, egg, cinnamon, and pinch of salt until you get a smooth, slightly sticky dough.

Step 2: Shape the base in the pan

Press the dough evenly into a tart pan (preferably a springform pan) to form a compact, even base.

Step 3: Prepare the apples

Toss the apple slices with the lemon juice and a bit of cinnamon to prevent browning and add flavor.

Step 4: Assemble the tart

Arrange the apple slices over the almond base, covering the entire surface. Decorate with sliced almonds on top.

Step 5: Bake

Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the apples are tender.

Step 6: Cool and serve

Allow to cool before removing from the pan. Serve at room temperature or chilled—delicious with a bit of natural yogurt.

🍴 Tips:

Use green apples for a tangier flavor, or red apples for more sweetness.

Add a touch of vanilla or nutmeg for extra aroma.

Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
