Prepare a 9” x 13” cake pan according to cake mix package directions, except use unsweetened baking cocoa instead of flour to dust the pan when the pan is to be floured.
Mix the dry cake mix and pumpkin with a mixer on low speed until well blended.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Spread batter in the prepared pan.
Bake according to cake mix package directions.
Cool completely.
Cut into squares to serve.
