Daler Bora - Bengali Lentil Fritters
  1. Place the soaked lentils, ginger, green chilies, turmeric and salt with 2 tablespoons of water in a blender. Blend to a paste.

  2. Mix in the onions and cilantro

  3. Place about ½ cup oil in a small wok and heat until smoking.

  4. Drop the batter in small spoonfuls and fry on medium low heat until golden brown. They will take about 3 to 4 minutes and will need to be turned.

  5. Serve hot.
