Boil the pasta according to package directions and reserve ¼ cup of the starchy pasta water.
In a large pan over medium heat, melt the butter and cook the minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the cream and simmer for 4-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Season with salt and pepper.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese and 2 teaspoons of chopped parsley.
Add the cooked pasta and the reserved pasta water, and toss everything together.
