Prepare the brownie batter according to the package directions.
Spread the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and spread it evenly over the brownie batter.
Drizzle the caramel sauce over the cream cheese layer.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the brownie is set.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot dessert and let them sit for 2–3 minutes until melted.
Spread or drizzle the melted chocolate over the top.
Chill for 2 hours before slicing into bars.
