Pinto Beans
  1. Rinse beans thoroughly, discarding the bad ones.

  2. Soak beans for 10-15 minutes while you prepare the other items.

  3. In the Instant Pot, add the Onion, Garlic, Oregano, Cumin, Oil, Broth and Water.

  4. Strain the beans & discard the water - rinse one last time with clean water and drain well.

  5. Pour the beans into the Instant Pot, stir everything together well.

  6. Press the 'Bean/Chili' button and increase the time to 45 minutes.

  7. After they are done, allow the pressure to naturally release on its own.

  8. Open the lid and let them sit for a little while so they can thicken.

  9. You can leave them whole, mash some so they will be more creamy but still whole beans as well, or you can smash them.
