Rasam

  1. Roast with a bit oil (0.5 tsp) - coriander, red mirchi

  2. Same pan remove them and roast everything else in remaining oil

  3. Mix and grind all together

  4. Add 1tsp turmeric powder

    Preparation - for 2-3 cups rasam

  5. Tomatoes finely chopped - 1 big tomato

  6. Ghee - roast tomato and green chili and a pinch of salt

  7. Sauté nicely

  8. When it becomes lumpy add water 2 cups

  9. Add powder: 0.5 tsp

  10. Boil on low flame

    Daal water

  11. Cook toor daal - ¾ cup cooked daal

  12. Mash nicely

  13. Add boiling water - as needed, say 1 cup

  14. Stir: allow it to settle. Decant water collect

  15. Add more water. Collect

  16. Add daal water to tomato thing

  17. Shouldn’t boil over. It should start boiling type.... foam should form

  18. Remove from fire
