Soak chopped dates in hot coffee for 15 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a loaf pan.
Whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla.
Stir in date-coffee mixture.
Fold in dry ingredients and walnuts.
Bake 50–55 minutes until set.
Cool completely.
Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over loaf.
