Warm 1 ¾ cup of milk to about 110°F.
Add 6 tbsp melted butter, 1 ½ tsp salt, and 1 egg to the warm milk and mix together.
In a large bowl, combine 5 cups of all-purpose flour, ½ cup sugar, and 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast.
Slowly pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a sticky dough forms.
Knead the dough for 3 minutes until it becomes elastic and no longer sticks to your hands.
Form the dough into a ball, place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 45 minutes to 1 hour until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough to release air bubbles, then divide it into 20 equal pieces (about 2.5 oz each).
Shape each piece into a smooth ball and place them on a baking sheet, cover, and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
Bake the rolls at 350°F for 25 minutes until golden brown.
While the rolls are baking, make the honey butter by beating together 8 tbsp softened butter, 3 tbsp powdered sugar, ¼ cup honey, 1 tsp cinnamon, and ½ tsp salt.
Brush the baked rolls with melted butter and serve warm with the honey butter.
