Warm cream cheese in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds. Add powdered sugar and stir until smooth.
Unroll the pie crust on a cutting board. Spread cream cheese over the surface and freeze for a few minutes.
Spread jam on top of the cream cheese layer.
Cut the pie crust in half and roll each half from the rounded side to the cut-edge.
Freeze the rolled crust for about 10 minutes.
Cut the rolled crust into half-inch segments and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Optionally, egg wash the edges and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 375°F for about 12 minutes until lightly browned and jam is bubbling.
For twists, prepare the dough as above, then fold and cut into wedges.
