Cranberry Orange Shortbread Cookies
  1. Cream together butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy

  2. Mix in vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice

  3. Add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms. Stir in chopped cranberries

  4. Shape dough into a log (about 5 cm thick), wrap in plastic, and chill for 1 hour

  5. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  6. Slice dough into 1 cm thick rounds and place on the baking sheet

  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until edges just start to turn golden

  8. Cool on a rack. Optional: drizzle with orange glaze once cooled
