Homemade Churros
  1. In a pot, bring water, sugar, salt, and butter to a boil.

  2. Remove from heat and quickly stir in the flour until it forms a thick dough.

  3. Let it cool slightly and add the egg and vanilla and mix well, then transfer to a piping bag with a star nozzle.

  4. Heat oil to 175–180°C and pipe strips of dough directly into the oil, cutting with scissors or making the shape on baking paper and then adding it to the oil, the paper can be removed after 10 seconds.

  5. Fry until golden and crisp, turning as needed.

  6. Remove and drain on paper towel.

  7. Roll in sugar while still warm.

  8. Enjoy!
