Add chicken, seasonings, vegetables, and browning to a bowl. Rub seasoning into chicken and marinate for 1 hour or overnight.
Remove veggies and herbs from chicken and set aside. Heat oil and brown chicken for 1–2 minutes per side. Remove.
Add reserved vegetables to skillet. Sauté 5 minutes.
Add chicken back to skillet. Stir in broth, water, ketchup. Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
Uncover and simmer an additional 10 minutes to reduce gravy. Serve hot.
