Tea Biscuits
  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or two forks until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Slowly pour in the cold milk and stir just until a shaggy dough forms.

  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead 2-3 times.

  6. Pat the dough into a ½-inch thick round.

  7. Use a 2-inch biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits, pressing straight down without twisting.

  8. Place the biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown on top.

  10. Serve warm.
