Hot Chocolate Scones
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, hot chocolate mix, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

  3. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or two knives until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Stir in ⅔ cup half-and-half, vanilla bean paste, and vanilla extract until just moistened.

  5. On a lightly floured surface, knead dough gently 5 to 10 times.

  6. Pat into a 1-inch-thick round.

  7. Cut into 8 wedges; place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, 2-inches apart.

  8. Brush tops with 1 Tbsp half-and-half, sprinkle each with sugar.

  9. Bake until golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes.

  10. Let cool on wire rack.

  11. Top with dollops of marshmallow creme

  12. Drizzle with melted dark chocolate wafers
