Pear Cake
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9-inch cake pan with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder. Add the eggs, oil, and vanilla, and mix until just combined. Don't overmix.

  3. Gently fold in about half of the pear slices into the batter. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Arrange the remaining pear slices on top and sprinkle with sugar.

  4. Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm or at room temperature.
