  2. Add the warm water and stir until a shaggy dough forms.

  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.

  5. Punch down the dough and shape it into a round loaf.

  6. Place the dough in a greased 9-inch bread pan.

  7. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

  8. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).

  9. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

  10. Remove the bread from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.
