Malva Tart
  1. Cream the butter and sugar. Add vinegar and beaten egg.

  2. Mix milk, bicarbonate of soda and jam together in a separate bowl and add to the butter sugar vinegar egg mixture. Mix well. Sift flour and baking powder into mixture. Pour into a dish and bake at 180 °C for 30 minutes.

  3. For the sauce just mix all ingredients together and pour over the tart as soon as it comes out the oven. Poke holes as you're doing it so that the sauce goes right through.
