Instant Pot Short Grain Brown Rice
  1. Measure out 1 cup of short grain brown rice and rinse it thoroughly under cold water. Drain the rice using a fine mesh sieve or colander.

  2. Add the rinsed rice to your Instant Pot and pour in 1.5 cups of water. Add a pinch of salt, if desired.

  3. Secure the lid on your Instant Pot and turn the valve to the sealing position. Select the 'Manual' or 'Pressure Cook' button and set the timer for 22 minutes.

  4. Allow the pressure to naturally release for 10 minutes once the cooking time has completed. After 10 minutes, carefully turn the valve to the venting position to release any remaining pressure.

  5. Remove the lid and fluff the rice with a fork. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
