Combine all ingredients in the pressure cooker.
Do not fill the pressure cooker more than half full.
Make sure the pressure regulator valve is closed.
Cook beans at high pressure for the time recommended for the specific type of beans.

Once cooking is complete, let the pressure release naturally or do a quick release.
If beans are not done, put the lid back on and cook at high pressure for another 5 to 10 minutes.
