Spicy Chex® Party Mix (23 cups)

2 sticks unsalted Butter

6 tablespoons(3oz) Worcestershire sauce

3 teaspoons seasoned salt

1.5 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

These ingredients bring the spicy to the party. You can adjust them to your preferred taste.

1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon Paprika

1 teaspoon Ground Chipotle Chile (optional)

1 teaspoon hot sauce (SkyLine or Tabasco)

6" deep steam table pan for mixing and cooking.

Another option is to use a full size disposable foil steam pan

Small whisk to mix butter and spices

2qt sauce pan for melting butter

Large measuring cup for dry ingredients

Large rubber spatula to mix dry ingredients

Small measuring cup for pouring butter/seasoning mix over everything

Set oven to 250°F. if available, use convection setting.
Melt butter a medium size saucepan on low heat. You want the butter warm, but not so hot that the milk solids being to separate.
Measure out each dry ingredient into your baking pan. I start with cashews, pretzels, cheeze-it, then the Chex cereal.
Use spatula to gently mix all the dry ingredients in the foil pan.
Stir seasonings into melted butter using the whisk to combine
Pour melted butter into small measuring cup
Pour melted butter evenly over the dry ingredients, use spatula to mix until evenly coated.
Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Spread onto paper towels to cool. Store in container with tight-fitting lid.
