Whisk together the sugars and eggs until pale.
Stir in the oil and vanilla.
Fold in the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt until roughly combined.
Fold in the carrots and pecans until uniformly distributed in the batter.
Transfer the batter into an 8X4 inch loaf pan and bake at 180C for 40-45 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
