Beat eggs thoroughly: add sugar and water, beat again.
Sift dry ingredients, and sprinkle a portion of it over nuts and gum drops.
Add the remaining flour to eggs and sugar mixture.
Fold in nuts and gum drops.
Spread thinly in greased 9 x 13 pan and bake in moderate oven (325ºF) for 30 minutes.
Allow to cool before slicing.
