Spinach And Black Soybean Burgers
  1. Place the soybeans in a large bowl and use a fork to roughly mash them. (You want to leave some part of the bean intact; the consistency should be rough, not pureed.)

  2. Place small pieces of spinach on top of the beans. Use the fork to combine the ingredients. Stir in the tomato paste, salt, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.

  3. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties. Place the patties on a dish and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

  4. Insert the Grill Grate and close the hood. Select GRILL, set the temperature to MEDIUM, and set the time to 8 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin preheating.

  5. When the unit beeps to signal it is preheated, place the patties directly onto the Grill Grate. Close the hood and cook for 8 minutes.

  6. Remove the burgers from the grill and serve each with a sliced avocado quarter.
