Potatoes with Cream Sauce

5 Potatoes peeled

5 Tablespoons of Butter

½c wheat flour or white flour

1 ¾ c Milk

8oz Sour Cream

1 Tablespoon of salt (I don't like a lot of salt so I will probably reduce this to 1 tsp or half a tsp)

1 Tablespoon of pepper

2c Mozzarella Cheese

    Parsley (optional)

  1. Evenly slice the potatoes

  2. Put in a casserole dish

  3. On medium heat melt the butter in a sauce pan

  4. Add the flour to the sauce pan

  5. Stir until the flour dissolves in the butter

  6. Add the milk a little at a time and continue to stir and pour until all of the milk is poured into the sauce.

  7. Stir until the sauce is thickened to a pourable consistency

  8. Add 8oz sour cream and mix well

  9. Add 1 tablespoon of salt

  10. Add 1 tablespoon Pepper

  11. Mix well

  12. Pour sauce over potatoes

  13. Put foil over dish and bake at 400F for 40-45mins

  14. Uncover add 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese

  15. Cover with foil and bake another 10-15 mins until cheese is golden and melted

  16. Uncover and add parsley (optional)

** I may add 1 Tablespoon of garlic and 1 tsp of onion powder to taste

*** I may also add some type of meat like ham or 2lbs ground mild Italian sausage for taste. (If I add the sausage I may not add the garlic and onion

powder because the sausage is very flavorful.

I hope this helps 😊
