Smothered Pork Steaks Rice & Gravy
  1. First, heat up the pot with oil.

  2. Season the pork steaks with Cajun seasoning and Cajun Trinity seasoning.

  3. Brown the seasoned pork steaks on both sides.

  4. Remove the browned steaks and add the onions and bell peppers to the pot.

  5. Cook the vegetables until soft, then add the minced garlic.

  6. Once the garlic is fragrant and the vegetables are translucent, add the dry roux or flour and stir it in.

  7. Place the browned pork steaks back into the pot and add enough water to cover the meat.

  8. Cook for 45-60 minutes, tasting and adjusting seasonings as needed.

  9. Continue cooking until the gravy thickens.

  10. Serve the smothered pork steaks over rice.
