Blueberry Lemon Scones

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.

  3. Pull butter from refrigerator & cut cold butter in small cubes. Sprinkle on top of flour mixture. Using a pastry knife or 2 butter knives, cut the butter into the dry mix till pea sized chunks.

  4. Add buttermilk slowly & tossing with a fork until dough is shaggy. Don't overwork & don't get too wet.

  5. Smash about half of the blueberries. Add smashed & whole blueberries, zest, & sugar,

  6. On a floured surface, push dough into a disk shape & cut into 12 triangles. Lay on baking sheet & brush with melted sugar & butter.

  7. Bake 25 minutes. Looking for golden brown, but may be paler than expected
