Hot & Spicy Dumpling Soup
  1. Add spices to a heatproof bowl - chili flakes, sichuan pepper, 5-spice, garlic powder.

  2. Heat up oil on a low-medium flame until you see some steam (do not overheat it!)

  3. Pour over the spices and let it sizzle. Add soy sauces, black vinegar, shao xing wine, coconut sugar and add a pinch of white pepper.

  4. Give that a good mix. Boil your frozen dumplings according to package instructions.

  5. Use the water you used to boil the dumplings as your 'broth', and add 2 cups to the bowl.

  6. Gently add your cooked dumplings, garnish with spring onions, coriander and toasted sesame seeds. Serve!
