Crockpot Chicken And Gravy
  1. Grease a 6-quart crockpot with cooking spray and place the raw chicken inside the crockpot.

  2. Sprinkle the chicken with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, celery seed, sage, and thyme, then top the chicken with cubed butter.

  3. Pour two cups of chicken stock over the chicken. The Chicken should be covered, so you may need 3 cups. If you add a cup of stock, you must add a tablespoon of butter and flour to your roux.

  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours, or until chicken is cooked through.

  5. Remove chicken from crockpot and set aside.

  6. On the stove top, make a roux with the butter and flour. Add it to the stock that remains in the crockpot to make a gravy.

  7. Use a whisk to whisk the sauce until smooth. Turn the heat up on the crockpot to help thicken the gravy.

  8. Cube or shred chicken, then stir back into the crockpot.

  9. Serve over biscuits, mashed potatoes, rice, etc. and enjoy!
