Add 3 cups freshly shredded cheddar cheese and stir to combine
Whisk together 1 cup whole milk, ¼ cup melted butter, and 1 large egg
Pour wet ingredients into flour and cheese mixture and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix
Pour batter into a parchment-lined 9 by 5 loaf pan and smooth out the top
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes until a tester in the center comes out clean
While bread bakes, mix together ¼ cup melted butter, ⅛ teaspoon salt, ⅛ teaspoon onion powder, and ¼ teaspoon dried parsley
Brush the flavored butter mixture over the hot bread right out of the oven
Let bread cool in the pan for about 5 minutes, then remove from pan and cool further
Serve warm or at room temperature
