Quick & Easy Brownies
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Start by melting the butter and chocolate chips together. Place the 2 sticks of butter, 2 tablespoons of cream (can also use milk), and 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until everything is melted and smooth. This should only take about 1 minute total. Let the melted mixture cool slightly before moving to the next step.

  3. Add to the bowl the granulated sugar and brown sugar until they are fully combined. Then, add in the eggs. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt. Whisk until smooth and well combined.

  4. Now, add the flour and cocoa powder to the wet ingredients. Stir gently with a spatula or spoon until the batter is thick and smooth. Don’t overmix – just combine everything until you don’t see any dry flour or cocoa powder. The batter should be rich and fudgy at this point.

  5. Once your brownie batter is ready, it’s time for the final indulgence: fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips. This step adds little pockets of melty chocolate throughout your brownies, taking them to the next level.

  6. Line your 9" x 9" baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly.

  7. Now, bake your brownies at 350°F for 40-50 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center – it should come out with a few moist crumbs, but not wet batter. If you prefer super fudgy brownies, bake them closer to 40 minutes; for slightly firmer brownies, let them go closer to 50 minutes.

  8. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares. This gives them time to set and become even more fudgy. If you're in a rush (who can blame you?), they’re still delicious warm and gooey – just be careful when cutting into them!
