Ingredients:
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup pecan halves
2 cups yellow cake mix
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup water
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp cinnamon
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a 9x13-inch baking dish, pour the melted butter evenly across the bottom.
Sprinkle the pecan halves evenly over the butter.
In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar, water, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
Pour this mixture over the pecans in the baking dish.
Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the top, covering all the pecans and liquid.
Do not stir; let the layers remain separate.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
