In a bowl, combine the warm water, melted butter, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy, about 5-10 minutes.
Add the egg and mix well.
Gradually add the bread flour, 1 cup at a time, until a smooth dough forms.
Knead the dough for 10 minutes on a lightly floured surface.
Divide the dough into 18 equal pieces and shape into balls.
Place the dough balls on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise for 10-30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Brush the tops of the rolls with an egg wash (1 beaten egg mixed with 1 tbsp water).
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
