Joshua sourdough discard banana bread
  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together

  2. add the vanilla extract

  3. add eggs one at a time

  4. in a medium low speed add the all purpose flour

  5. add all the mashed bananas

  6. add the sourdough starter

  7. add the baking soda and kosher salt

  8. cover the batter with a plastic wrap and leave it at room temp for 30min - 12 hours. If we wait 12 hours the batter will rise. When its time to use it stir it back down.

  9. Pre heat the oven to 350 degrees and butter the loaf pan. To ensure that this does not stick to the pan lightly dust the pan with flour and line the bottom of the loaf pan with parchment paper. Butter the parchment paper ones again and dust with flour.

  10. Bake for 45- 1 hour or until tooth pick test comes out clean.
