Mom's Famous White Bread
  1. If using instant yeast, combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. Cover and let rest until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours depending on house temperature. If using active dry yeast, first combine water, yeast, and honey/sugar, and let rest for 5-10 minutes until bubbly, then mix with remaining ingredients.

  2. Once dough is risen, divide and pour straight into an oiled loaf pan, or dump onto a floured surface, roll it up, and place into well oiled loaf pans. Note that the dough will be sticky.

  3. Cover loaf pans with a towel and let rise while the oven is heating up for about 30 minutes or until dough is slightly more light and risen.

  4. Bake at 350°F for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Let rest at least 5 minutes before cutting into it.
