Homemade Fruit Tarts
  1. Combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt.

  2. Add butter and mix on low speed until crumbly.

  3. Add one egg and vanilla extract until smooth and uniform.

  4. Chill the dough.

  5. Combine egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, salt, and vanilla.

  6. Heat heavy cream and whole milk on medium while whisking until thickened.

  7. Let it bubble for 2 minutes while whisking.

  8. Roll the dough out to ¼ inch thick.

  9. Fit the dough into tar molds.

  10. Dock the dough.

  11. Bake until it's a light golden color.

  12. Fill with pastry cream and fruit.
